Creswell
Population about 4,000, the last time we looked, Creswell is a homely and friendly town about 12 miles south of Eugene.
It’s also, most notably, the scene of the best Fourth of July parade around. Creswell’s version goes right down main street, has floats pulled by tractors and still allows people to throw candy to children. In recent years it’s been so popular that traffic backs up on I-5 as people flood into town in the morning. After the parade you can enjoy barbecued chicken at the park. And any time of year, check out Los Cabos restaurant on Oregon Avenue for congenial Mexican food.
