Why do we love this place so much? Probably because it’s there. Just a few hours’ drive from Eugene, that is, so it makes a great place to stay on a Friday night when you’ve worked all day but you’re headed to Death Valley or other points south and just want to get a few miles behind you.
The K Falls Super 8 is perfect for this. It’s easy to find, just north of town on Highway 97, right next to Mollie’s Truck Stop, where you can get an honest steak and a glass of red wine and still not spend all of $20. Clean rooms, quiet location, and a pool that’s sometimes open.
