Yes, we DID promise you a Rose Garden
If you’re anywhere near Eugene, now’s the time to hit the Owen Memorial Rose Garden, which sits on the south side of the Willamette River near downtown Eugene.
The popular nine-acre attraction is named for philanthropist George Owen, who made his fortune in timber; it contains something like 4,500 rose plants, and all of them seem to be in bloom this week.
Find it at 300 N. Jefferson St. Open all day, every day, free.
