It’s twins!

The new twins and mom

One of our local does, who’s been so pregnant she spends half her days snoozing in the cool of the carport, showed up this morning with her new twin fawns.

A cavorting fawnMother, who looks tired, and twins, who spend most of their time jumping up and down, are fine. They join a small resident herd around our property that consists of about half a dozen various aunts, uncles and cousins. They hang out, browse the vegetation and make sure we don’t plant any tasty vegetables or flowers outside the 10-foot deer fence that surrounds the garden.

Oregon has about a billion deer. Whoops, make that a billion and two.

Got something to say? Go ahead. Say it right here...
