“I’m washing this morning,” the note says on this Aug. 5, 1950 postcard of Mount Hood. “Just a line to let you know Harold isn’t going to have his operation until September. Hope you have hospital bed by now. Love, Delphia.”

“Oregon’s new State Capitol, built at a cost of $2,500,000, replaces the one destroyed by fire the night of April 25, 1935. A 24-foot bronze statue of the Pioneer by Sculptor Ulric H. Ellerhusen tops the Capitol dome,” reads the back of this postcard.
