Hey, Bob: Next time you review parts of Wallowa County, don't forget to include the cabins, the bed & breakfasts and the vacation rentals as other great places to stay--there are many more of them here than there are motels. --A B&B owner

The Oregonian building has a few elevators. I have recently taken over the family business that my father started back in 1977. We are registered with the city of Portland as an Emerging Small Business. At this time I make the following proposal to you. I will beat what you are paying now by a clean third. And real service on your elevators.

Thanks, Faye. There are a bunch of little tiny ones running around, too, but they were too quick for the camera.

<p>Current paperwork shows that the mid-block location of the Pago-Pago on Stark will become the entrance to an underground parking garage for buildings on that block. America's most beautiful tropical room has become a boring drive-through corridor. All I can say is: "Crap!"</p>

Sheesh. No wonder the temperature's never right in here. Building was finished in 1946, apparently. http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=streetoregonianbuilding-portland-or-usa
